These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, and content (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using Friendly Chatter, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Who We Are
Friendly Chatter provides non-clinical, phone-based listening and conversation services. Our listeners offer presence and conversation but do not provide therapy, counseling, medical advice, or crisis intervention. Friendly Chatter is not a substitute for professional mental health care, and our listeners are not licensed mental health professionals.

Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By using Friendly Chatter, you confirm that:

• You are legally able to enter into these Terms
• The information you provide is accurate and current
• You will use the Service in compliance with applicable laws
  
  

Use of the Service
When using Friendly Chatter, you agree to:

• Treat others with respect and kindness
• Refrain from abusive, discriminatory, or threatening behavior
• Not impersonate others or provide false information
• Not use the Service for illegal or harmful purposes
• Not promote commercial products or services
  
  

Not a Crisis or Medical Service
Friendly Chatter does not provide crisis support, medical advice, or therapeutic treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or are in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services or a licensed professional.

User Content
You are responsible for the information you choose to share during conversations. You agree not to share content that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive. Any feedback or communications you provide to Friendly Chatter may be used only as necessary to operate and improve our services. We do not sell personal data.

Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. If required by law, we may disclose information to authorities.

Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service if we believe these Terms have been violated or the Service has been misused.

Limitation of Liability
Friendly Chatter is provided on an “as-is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Friendly Chatter and its affiliates are not liable for any direct or indirect losses, emotional distress, or damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on conversations.
You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any decisions or actions you take as a result of using Friendly Chatter.

Payments & Refunds
All services must be paid in full at the time of booking. Prices are listed in CAD and may include applicable taxes. Payment secures your scheduled time. You may cancel and receive a full refund if you notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled call. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, missed appointments, or partial sessions are non-refundable.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
